For a while now my Windows Vista Premium System hasn't been able to update past SP1. I keep receiving error code 800F0818. Tried searching for an answer but no luck yet.... Please help!!

Unimatrix thank you for your help but I did manage to see that post just before I created mine. Unfortunately it didn't help my issue :confused I've ran various malware programs from past experiences but it seems to be an issue related to a file error in my system files I'm leaning towards.

Have you tried running sfc /scannow to check for bad or corrupt system files

I have actually now that you mention it. I received an error that it said could not be repaired automatically in a cbs log. It was a little past my understanding but I've attached it to see if maybe it makes sense to you perhaps.... Thanks!!
