Canon Printer Problem

I have a Canon iP4300. The color ink cartridges ran out long ago, but I've just been printing using grayscale since we never use the color anyway. Recently when trying to print, I get an error message telling me that I can't print because one of the cartridges is empty. Replace the one that has the blinking light.

It was all of the colors, so I just went out to replace them. I got the Staples brand in order to save a little money (there have never been any problems when replacing the black with them), and I still got the same message (and when I checked, all the lights were blinking). So I called Canon and explained the problem. As soon as I mentioned Staples they said they can't help me since it's not the Canon brand. I went back to Staples, and exchanged their cartridegs for Canon's. Problem still exists. I called Canon back and explained the situation. They had me do all sorts of stuff: turn the printer on and off, unplug the printer then plug it back in, take the printer head out and put it back in. Nothing. I was then told to check and see if there were any lights blinking again, and this time it was the black (which was full having been replaced a week or so before all this). Once again, as soon as I mentioned that it was Staples I was immediately cut off with the same excuse as before and hung up on.

Now I am stuck with a full tank of ink and a printer that will not function. Any ideas?

 

Take out all of the cartridges, remove the print head and clean it with water. Make sure it is completely dry before installing.

You can also find videos on youtube that will show different cleaning procedures. I would stick with warm water.

Unfortunately, this did not work. The problem seems to be the PGBK: either the cartridge or the slot. That is the only one that has no light on. As I mentioned before, unitl recetly I've had no problems with that one in particular - for a long while.

 

Is the PGBK an original canon or Staples product? Did you have to transfer the chip to the Staples product or does the Staples cartridges already have the chip on the cartridge? No light could indicate a bad chip.

 

It is a Staples brand, and it came with the chip. It was working perfectly until this recent problem. Is it possible that the chip could have been damaged or something just shorted out all of a sudden?

BTW, the light had been blinking when I first replace the color cartridges.

 

That's possible. I would go to Staples and ask for exchange, saying the light on the cartridge no longer works. There is also a way to reset the printer which may help but you should see if you can exchange the cartridge first.

 

I went in and explained my problem. They exchanged the Staples one for a Canon one, and now we're up and running. Thanks for your help!

Hello, i have problem with canon printer i-senssis MF4450 it stoped working, in the device and printers there is a yellow triangular mark on the printer. how to resolve that problem? pls help me. or give me the installation link or something explanation. thanks.
