Can't access Internet...

I had a run in recently with some bad spyware or malware, and I think I have it removed. I went through the cleaning process as described on this site, but now I cannot access the Internet. Here's the weird part, I established a new identity on the same computer (it's a laptop running wirelessly through my linksys router) and can surf the Internet just fine, but can't access the Internet at all on my main identity. It's probably something simple, yet it continues to baffle and p*** me off. What should I try next? Thanks so much in advance.

You say you've went through the cleaning process but you've never posted your logs for one of our malware experts to look through. You could still have something lingering. I dont know if thats why you cant connect but you cant be certain.

I would run the tests again and then make a posting in the malware forum with the results of the scans to make certain you are clean. If after then you still cant connect then you can come back to this forum and work from there.

Thats just my suggestion. Oh and welcome to MG's
