    Ok so heres whats happened.

Ive got a Belkin N Wireless router, which i was playing around with (basically trying to set it up as an access point) when all of a sudden i cant access the web interface for the router anymore. Its like it cant find it.

Now the normal address i would use in the url is: 192.168.2.1 but it wont work anymore.

I was messing around with IP address settings and subnet masks etc could this have caused the problem???:yum

Is it possible the web interface url has changed??? Anyway i can find out what the new one is?? :confused

My laptop can still connect to the router but I cant access the internet or do anything else :cry

    Any ideas?

Yes, do this. Start - run - type in "cmd" hit enter, then type in ipconfig, now where you see the gateway address thats what you should try to browse to for the routers web interface.

I can't link you to your Belkin support page without a model but generally, Belkin says that configuration interface is disabled in access point mode.

I would say your next step is to reset the router, download the instructions and try again. One trick that I have used, if you have a configuration that you think is mostly correct and you want to test one more thing, save and backup the configuration to a file. If the test fails, reset and restore the configuration file back to the router.

Its a Belkin N F5D8236-4 v3. Ive tried pressing the reset button in which just seems to reboot the router but doesnt actually restore the factory settings.

How do i get it back out of Access point mode?

When you press the reset button keep it depressed until you see all the lights flash on the router.
