Hi, my sister can't access the internet via the wifi adaptor on her laptop. However, if I use the ethernet port she is able to access the internet. She doesn't know exactly when this happened but I've been working on this for 3 days now. The OS is Vista Home Premium. The first thing I noticed was on the Network and Sharing Center page in Vista there was connection to my local network but no connection to the internet. If I clicked on the internet globe a warning message would come up stating "Cannot find 2559a1f4-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0 . Make sure the path or Internet address is correct."
Now that I've completed the Vista Cleaning Procedure this message doesn't appear anymore but when I click on the globe IE opens and the page states "cannot display webpage".
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Mountaindew7up,
Have you tried disabling the Wi-Fi adapter and then turn it off and then on again? Because sometimes it happens to me. I use a HP laptop so I don't know if it works for your brand too.

Yes, I tried that but it didn't work. However, yesterday I changed the IP address for the wireless adaptor and that worked. I use a router for my local network and I assign specific IPs for each computer, this helps with P2P clients. So I changed the IP and was able to access the internet through the wireless adaptor.
I think that maybe there was some sort of virus or malware that didn't completely install on the laptop and this had messed up the wireless adaptor. Also, I had checked through the MajorGeek forums for the same warning message that I had received when this first happened and those threads believed that it was some sort of malware that was causing the problem. However, there was no definitive solution.
Like I said I'm not sure what happened but it's working now, and that's the important thing. If anyone has any ideas I would be interested in knowing. Anyways I hope this helps someone in the future.
    Thanks.
