I just installed my new motherboard(intel D946GZIS) and Processor(intel core 2 Duo E6300) in a new case/power supply with a new seagate 160GB sata HD along with my old hard drive an HP OEM 40GB and old HP dics drive. I can get to the BIOS screen but not sure what to do in there everything shows up or disappears as i add or subtract things. It wont let me load windows in any mode safe or otherwise.

your old drive must be set to master befor you can boot from it, that is of course if the old OS is still on it.

The old OS should still be on the HD it was when i started the upgrade.

Is there a way to test and see if it is still on the HD?
