for about 30 days i have been trying to take a _ts directory with vob, ifo, etc files in it and 'burn' it so i can watch it...and i have made 6 coasters. a friend wanted a copy of 2 dvd's about the telescopes where she works, i took windows explore and copied the files from the dvd's to my disk (1 is approx 1gb and the other is approx 3+gb), so i could store em while i figgered out how to burn em. so i use nero - take files in _ts dir and drag & drop to the left panel in the video ts dir. i did that and hit burn and it simply makes a copy of the same files (bup, ifo, vob) on disk... help plz i also tried roxio7 with same results, even tried burnatonce, no go!

You need a program like CloneDVD or something simliar to copy a DVD. I'm not sure if Nero can do this because I havn't tried it. I use CloneDVD for all DVD backups. It's the best and easiest IMO. This is for legal copies only by the way.

You can download the trial version below.

    CloneDVD 2.8.5.1

Are you wanting to copy a CD to DVD or makes copies of your DVD?

Just wanted confirmation before I told you what programs to use. Download and install the TRIAL version of CloneDVD.

Insert the DVD and run the program, choose "Clone DVD" the middle option and then in the next step point it to your DVD drive and click next until it starts to copy.

Afterwards it will prompt to enter a blank disc and it burns it for you.

Let me know if you have any problems.
