can't burn past 4x help plz

I am trying to burn a cd but i can't burn past 4x the drive is a liteon sohc5236 and is capable of burning upto 52x, i have already tried the firmware update, it didn't help.

 

is the cd rated to burn at a higher speed.

 

I guess it was the cd max speed let me find some other cds and try them.

 

There are burn speed settings in the Drive Properties, go to My Computer, right click on your CDRW drive, select properties, select recording, select burn speed.

Your Burning software may also have burn speed settings.

Some data when burned, the best Quality & results are obtained when burnt at slow speed.

 

it was the cd's max rated burn speed.
