I have an Asus MB, K8N-E deluxe, Athlon64 3200+ and after putting in the MSI FX5900XT-VDT128 in and installing MSI drivers, I can't seem to enable AGP settings. They're all off and will not let me change it. The board supports AGP 8x and so does the card.
Plus the card seems slower than my previous G4 4200Ti when playing intense graphic games, need help guys ...

MAke sure the related AGP setting in the BIOS is set to 8x.....also I strongly recommend you go to www.nvidia.com and d/l the 'Detonator' drivers that can be used for all Nvidia chipset based video cards (and Detonator drivers are generally much better than the drivers that comes with the card's manufacturer anyhow).

Did you use driver cleaner to remove your old drivers before installing the new set? if not you should do that now. If that doesnt work try to get Riva Tuner and see if you can work with the settings from there. Detonators? Get to the future! Theyre forceware now! :D :p

    Welcome to Major Geeks.

I also would suggest using the Nvidia drivers, not the MSI supplied ones.

You'll need to remove the card from the "Device Manager" ( make sure they are not still showing up in Add\remove Programs ), then completely remove all instances of any previous drivers using Nasty File Remover. When done with this...reinstall the new drivers.

As you can see by my specs, I am running the same card with no problems. I'm running the the lastest Nvidia drivers now.

Hey do you have the heatsink & fan on both sides of that card? I've asked alot of folks this question to find that most don't have that. Wierd huh?

Maybe also try installing Coolbits to open up more features in "Display Properties".

It hasn't even been a month and it is only a name change smartass, as long as the people follow the obvious steps on Nvidia's website to download the drivers, the name would be irrelevant. Besides I like the name "Detonator" better, so sue me! :p

Completely out of line man. No need to respond to such a thing. Just makes you look bad. The powers that be try to keep a nice place to come & get help. Do your part as well?

i had this exact same problem and it was because my motherboards drivers were not installed(it's posted somewhere here if you do a search)

i try and follow this order in installing drivers:
    OS>SP>mobo>DX>graphics>everything else

    (@suesman ... i think they're just bein sarcastic;) )
