Cant change my region to view a dvd

I can change my region to view a dvd why is there a limit,....
is there a way to change it....I looked som up but you have to pay is there a free way to do it?

 

you can use dvdgenie .you can set this up so that you dvd drive thinks that it is the same region dvd all that time.

DVD Genie overrides the software DVD player's region coding, and it can do nothing about hardware region coding. You could also copy the DVD to your HD with DVD Decrypter http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4282.html as a file and open the file with your DVD player software to watch the movie, as it removes region coding along with CSS coding.

thanks for the info also, I've never downloaded this program so I should be ok but just incase how do I check for it and how do I verify that the file REGKILL.VXD was removed from C:WINDOWS SYSTEM IOSUBSYS



Windows 95/98/ME: Before you install RegionKiller 2, please check if you`ve already installed a previous version of RegionKiller - if you have, please uninstall it before you do anything else.

After the you`ve uninstalled, verify that the file REGKILL.VXD was removed from C:WINDOWS SYSTEM IOSUBSYS

 

i would go start/ search and type in the file name and click search all files and folders and see what it finds
