cant check for errors win xp prp

    Hi, I tried to verify my drive C for errors but always at the end of step 3 it said; insuficient space (or something like that )and it aborted the verification.
    also I noticed that I can't get to safe mode, it gives me the option but it boot in normal mode.

    Why do you want to boot to safe mode?

    Also what are you using to 'verify' your C drive?

    I do not really need to boot in safe mode right now but I had tried before to do it when my system could'nt boot normally and now before I got a problem I want to make sure that I will be able to boot in safe mode.
    About error checking for my drive C I am using the windows checking system (right click in the C drive + tools + errror checking).
