can't connect after windows update

Heres my problem.I have a computer with xp sp2 using a linksys usb network adapter connecting to a linksys wrt54gs router.I have been getting a "page cannot be displayed" on some web pages.I have searched and found that I may have a virus, so I wiped the computer reinstalled xp and installed the usb adapter and everything was working ok untill xp updated. I restarted the computer and now I can't get to renewal the ip addresse and get a limited or no connection.I tried to restore to the point were i installed the linksys software but still no good .Help please.

 

I also have 2 other computers running of the same setup with no problems. just this 1 computer

 

Turn off Windows XP firewall and see if that helps.

OK. Try to configure the connection with a static IP address in the proper range. Manually configure Gateway device and DNS devbice/s. This will eliminate DHCP as an issue. Then see if you can access the Internet.
