   I am running HP pavilion g6 with win 7 home premium service pack 1. Yesterday I connected to a public network. Today I can connect to my LAN but it doesn't recognize the internet. My other pc is connected to the same LAN and can see the internet.
   
   I suspect the public network left some residuals. I don't know what I am looking for nor how to get there. As usual, help?

   Click the network icon near the clock. It will show available networks. Pick yours by the unique ssd (you did change the settings on your router from the defaul username I hope). It will either connect or shoot up an error.
   If you get an error, write it down and post exactly what the error said.
