I'm running winows 7. I can still connect to the internet via Ethernet. So far i've updated all my drivers, disabled re-enabled network adapter. After right clicking the adapter it says it's updated and working properly. All my other devices can connect to the modem just not my laptop. I tried forget network but it just says cannot connect to this network.

Roll back the wi-fi driver if you can. Sometimes "If it ain't broke don't 'fix' it." is the best policy.

What's the brand and model of laptop? I want to see a) what hardware b) if there is a mechanical switch or keystrokes that turns the wifi on and off - all laptops have something like this.
