"Connect your laptop to the router with an Ethernet cable.
Start it up and double click your browser when it comes up type in the address bar at the top HTTP:192.168.1.100 and press enter this should take you to your router set up, just follow the instructions and all should be OK.http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Signs/56k-Powaa.gif

According to what you have posted it's already semi communicating with your router or you would not have pulled an IP address or be assigned one.

    try http://192.168.1.10

From what I'm looking at here that's your routers IP and should bring up the admin menu from which you can set things up further.

Also I don't know what version of XP you are on but windows XP home sucks for networking try adding in everything manually in the TCP/IP settings like your primary and secondary DNS settings. For some reason I've had several XP home machines that would network correctly to the router but not the DNS. Some machines wouldn't connect well period till the DNS was set in manually. Most of the time this was the fault of the router. So might also want to think about a firmware update for the router. Also, double and triple check that you have the most current and updated drivers for your wireless device in that computer. Even though you are pulling in the numbers doesn't mean that the driver is necessarily working as intended. Last thing to check is, if all else results in failure still, reset your router to factory default settings. Maybe someone was tampering with its settings and that is preventing you from connection via wireless, or perhaps maybe something you set-up might have caused something to prevent connection.
