Can't DCC Send in mIRC (behind a router)

Hi, I recently bought a Netgear Router (WPN824v3) and I already have it configured for mIRC. I have the port range put in under the options and that range of ports put in on my port forward settings for tcp/udp and also have the ident port forwarded which is 113 for tcp/udp. I can trigger a DCC chat fine and receive files, but when I try to send it simply doesn't work. How do I fix this problem? Thanx.

 

May the person to whose you're trying send file has blocked ports? What you mean "doesn't work" any messages, errors?

 

No messages or errors simply a timed out connection. The person I'm trying to send to has downloaded from other people so that is not a concern either.

 

Have you personal firewalls? ZoneAlarm or something?

 

I plan on it, but don't have one right now.

 

Update: I can download and accept dcc chats, but I can't dcc send or dcc chat when I initiate it. It seems outgoing connections are being blocked. If it matters, I aslo have AVG Anti-Virus.

 

Problem Solved! =o). Problem was on my computer.

1. To fix the problem go to Start -> Run -> type in cmd and click Ok. In the command prompt type in ipconfig /all, Keep the command prompt open.

2. Then go to Control Panel -> Network Connections -> right click Local Area Connection and click properties. In properties scroll down to and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click the Properties button. Set it to "Use the following IP Address".

3. In the command prompt look under "Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection" and apply the corresponding numbers to the same ones under the Local Area Connection properties. IP Address for IP Address, Default Gateway for Default Gateway, etc..
