    hello,
so I have this problem with my iTunes for a week or 2 now. In a nut-shell, I was updating my iTunes when it froze on me while updating so I had to restart my computer. Once I restarted my computer, my iTunes wouldnt open, because it said I have a corrupted file. I was able to delete all the iTunes files except for the corrupted and unreadable one. I tried check disk, Uninstaller, and Revo Uninstaller Pro. I tried many other things as well...heres what I've been getting.

When I right click the file to delete it, it say "Cannot delete fi.lproj: THe directory is not empty".

When I try to open the file by clicking it, it says "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\fi.lproj is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable".

If anyone know how to delete this file, your are amazing and please go into a lot of detail with your instructions, Im not great with computers.

P.S.S. If this helps, when I start up my computer and it goes to the home page. I get a pop-up that the top blue bar says "AppleSyncNotifier.exe- Unable to Locate Component" and the actual mesage says, "This application has failed to start because CoreFoundation.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".

    Thank you for your help!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Problems with iTunes and its removal are not a topic for the Malware Forum. As such, I'm moving this to the Software Forum.

I would run "error checking" on the hard drive, it might help to correct the problem. In windows bring up the properties for the c: drive, select the "tools" tab, check off "automatically fix errors" then click "ok". The computer should want to reboot and the disk check should run on next reboot. hope this helps.

    Many thanks holiday!
I had a file on my thumb drive that didn't copy correctly and wouldn't let me remove it. I tried renaming, downloaded several 'free' file removers to no avail. It even started to copy itself (couldn't delete the copies either). Your solution worked first time, didn't even have to reboot.
    Kudos!
