can't delete macafee file

Hi,

I removed my Macafee security system a while ago from my pc (windows xp) but a file called 2007127171752 mcinfo.exe keeps trying to connect to the internet and my comodo boclean constantly alerts me - but even though I block it (and ask boclean to my remember my answer) it still keeps popping up. How can I get rid of it?

tried the removal tool as recommended but it hasn't worked - the mcinfo.exe is still trying to connect even as I write this reply. Any other suggestions?

Yup, go with one of these. There is a "manual" way to remove it but it's very involved, be better if one of these can remove it.

thanks for the info. The CCleaner didn't work but the RegSeeker found hundreds of files(?) with mcinfo.exe - I backed up, as recommended and deleted them all. This didn't seem to work so I did it again and rebooted this time and so far it seems to have worked, so thanks a lot! If it somehow crops again I'll inform Major Geeks.
