Can't delete threats

I ran Norton on my computers and there are some threats that Norton is unable to delete. What do I do now to get rid of them? I have ran Spybot and Adware to no avail. Please let me know if you need more info. Thanks for your help.

Have you tried an alternate AV? There are several good free ones in the Anti-virus section.

Need more specific inforamtion. What is you OS? And what are the items that it could not delete? What did it call them and what files were the problems in? It could be just a system restore issue (files in a system restore directory on WinMe or XP systems cannot be cleaned).

I am running XP. The filenames are as follows:

bidgsnap.exe
mwsvm.exe
mwsvm.ocx
mwsvm.ocx
UXwIE.exe

It says that Adware was found on all of them. Hopefully this will help you. I went through Win Explorer and tried to delete them and it said that the file could not be deleted, check to see if it is running. Let me know if you need more info. Thanks

Try booting in safe mode: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001052409420406?OpenDocument&src=sec_doc_nam

and then delete them. You may have been able to do the same by running Norton in safe mode.
You should refer to this link http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407
and do some of the stuff there just to verify you do not have more problems.
