Can't Delete Video Files!!!

Okay, so I am using XP... It has become a problem recently when i decide to delete certain video (mpeg and avi) files. Windows tells me that another program or user is using the file, and hence cannot be deleted (windows media player isn;t open or anything)... I need to make some room on my hard drive and do not know what to do.

Also, I have been having issues with my Kazaa Lite shared folder. Whenever i open or move a file from my shared folder, my computer comes to almost a complete halt. I hit ctrl+alt+del and look at the task manager, and the windows task explorer.exe is taking up 95-99 percent of the cpu usage (i have an athalon 2100+ w/ 516 meg RAM). This goes on for a while, sometimes it stops after about 10 minutes, but usually i have to restart my computer. I changed my shared/download folder to another directory, and this new directory does not have any problems. I need to move files from the old shared folder (as well as delete some files). Some files can be moved (it still slows down my CPU), but others say that it cannot read from the source disk when i try to delete/move. What do i do???

PS- Not all of the "undeletable" video files are in that shared folder. Also, I have closed kazaa, and this does not fix anything
