Hi all. I hope you can help me with this one as you have in the past. My daughter has a toshiba sattelite. My B-I-L had been "improving" it and since her trial edition of MSOffice was expired he downloaded one from 2003. He also had put on Norton, Adaware, Spy Buster and God only knows what else. She's been trying to open programs on Angel Learning which is the program her college uses to get course work etc.. She couldn't download from it and called the help desk which told her that MSOffice 2003 is too old for what their system requires. So we bought he MSOffice 2010 Exe for home and student. I have tried everything, but the Office suite will not download, nor can it be saved. I've turned off the firewall, Norton (now deleted from her system), Spy Buster (likewise), Adaware (likewise) and told the system to allow pop ups. Also entered the school site into trusted internet sites. Still a no go. Please, does anyone have any ideas? I have no problem opening and downloading her school things on my computer and I only have Open Office. Arghhhhhh. She really needs to get on there and be able to access her work without having to do it on my computer. I very, very much appreciate any ideas or suggestions you may have as to what is blocking the download. Thanks!!!! Hope to hear from someone asap. :yum

    Hi

Have you tried installing and using a different browser, like Firefox, to download the program?

Also, if the program can be downloaded and then installed, have you tried downloading it on your computer, then transferring the file onto her computer in order to install it?

Did you buy Office 2010 from the college your daughter attends? Couldn't you have gotten it on a DVD disk instead of getting it via download over the Internet? What about the college bookstore? Most college bookstores sell software to students at "academic pricing"; I'm talking software on a disk here, not an Internet download.

Thanks to you both. Will try to download using Firefox. Had already bought and paid for the program through Microsoft's home site and just need to download it from there. They sell it there at a student discount of about 50 dollars once they verify your enrollment through your college (which is surprisingly quick). Thanks again for taking the time to answer me. It's much appreciated.:)

    >>You should have some characters - I think it is about 25 of them. It is the product identifier and the characters are the activation key.
Before you can download you have to enter these.
    Visit www.microsoft.com/office or call 8009365700
Depending upon the version, trial may only apply to som of the features. Word for instance should e stable and active as well as tools and the photo pgogram.
