Cant find drivers

I recently shifted from Vista to XP and am using the Toshiba A200-PSAFCA 01H00J. I am looking for the audio driver. I used everest and it says that i need
Realtek ALC268 @ Intel 82801GBM ICH7-M - High Definition Audio Controller [B-0]. I am not able to find it. Could you please let me know where i can find it.Thanks

 

I see you have run the everest report. here are the realtek drivers you are looking for. If these do not work can you post the everest report

are you saying the link didn't work or the drivers didn't work

 

No the link worked...i downloaded the set up file but when im installing it it says error couldnt install driver and quits

The same error again. It says Install Realtek HD audio driver error. Is there something wrong, cause i just formatted my pc and put XP on it.....

 

I've read several post that indicate that that some boards and computers were designed for vista and going backwards will cause problems like you are having. This may not be true for your system, but the search for drivers may be pointing to that issue.
Where did you get the other drivers for your computer.

 

I couldn't even find any drivers for that model at all on Toshiba website. Strange

 

I know i think this model is only available in AUS. I even tried looking on the canadian web site but finding my model is just impossible!

 

For the other drivers i downloaded them for another A200 model. Ive seen posts with the same laptop as me where they say it took them a while but they could find the drivers.

 

Any more ideas guys? Is my only option reverting back to VISTA?

 

I'll give it one more shot today and see what i can find.

I have 3 computers with vista and 4 with xp pro. I haven't had a problem with vista yet. I was expecting some when I got them but after 2 years nothing has come up.
