    Try this:

    1. Right-click the start button
    2. Select 'Properties'
    3. On the 'Taskbar And Start Menu Properties' dialog, press the 'Customize' button

    For classic start menu
    4. Under 'Advanced Start Menu Options' check the box next to 'Display Run'
    5. Apply your settings

    For new start menu
    4. On the 'Customize Start Menu' dialog, select the 'Advanced' tab
    5. Under 'Start Menu Items' scroll down, and check the box next to 'Run Command'
    6. Apply your settings.

Thanks for the quick response but in the new start menu, the 'Run Command' box is not even present. I tried switching to the classic menu but the 'Display Run' box is not there either :cry:cry

Alright, so your run command is not on your start menu, or your Start Menu customization dialog?

Could you please take a screenshot of your customization dialogs, and attach one to your next post?

There should also be a run command in Task Manager.

    ctrl alt del
    Applications
    New Task

    Yes, that's the one.

Have you done any registry modifications? Ran a registry cleaning tool at all?

The above may require a log off and log back on.

Or just use the windows key + R. ;)

Thanks for the help guys but I finally figured it out. I was able to access the 'gpedit.msc' file and from there did the following: User Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Start Menu and Taskbar. From there I disabled the 'Remove Run menu from Start Menu.'

    Thanks for all the suggestions.
