cant find second hard drive!!!

hi guys hope you can help me, ive just carried out a clean install on my pc (all was running fine just felt like doing it ) but since i have i cant see my e: drive . It shows up in the device manager but not using explorer,. it had all my music and other driver files on it . I have not opened up the pc at all so its not a case of cables being wrong, any ideas?

hi windows xp home edition,,i may have a lead on the problem it seems that because i had norton installed on the pc (inc GoBack) that as the install is now clean the drive cant be seen . I have put the drive in another pc thats using Norton the drive can be seen and accesed perfectly , is this normal???. Im just gonna backup the drive to DVD and then transfer it that way.

 

It seems your partition table became broken. You may see your partitions using drive manager or backup software
but your e: drive has no letter assigned by the OS. You may improve it using diskpart tool:
go to Run then write 'list volume' and see what volume has no letter. Then 'select volume X' when X is the number
of lost volume. Then write 'assign' - this way any letter ill be assign or 'assign letter=E' if you want to specify letter E: exactly.

You may perform the same operations using Disk Management (Rt Click on My Computer then manage then disk management).
