Cant fully remove Kaspersky AV

I am having problems getting rid of Kaspersky Pure 2.0 from my computer. I am downloading AVG 2013 free version and I receive an error stating I still need to remove Kapsersky from my PC. Is there an app or program that will help my take it completely off the PC. I am running Windows 7 on a Dell XPS with I7 core. I ran the uninstall for Kaspersky and I thought I removed it totally but when I go back into control panel uninstall programs it is still there. Then when I click for it to be uninstalled it starts the process but gets stuck after a couple of minutes of starting.
