Cant get computer to boot up

    Im trying to fix a friends computer.when i hook it up all i get is power saving mode like he does,its not a monitor issue because my other computers work fine,is there a way around this,i noticed when i turn the computer on the lite on the monitor is yellow,if i unhook it then put cable back on monitor i get a blue lite which is good but then it goes yellow and says power saving mode???

    Hi

    Had this before in work and it turned out to be a graphics card failure, so just to rule that out do you have a spare GFX card to try in the PC?
