Hi, I'm new to the forum and I have a question that's been bugging me for a while. My desktop is an 8 year old Dell with XP, a much larger hard drive and 512 meg of sdram or whatever.

The machine does everything I need it to do, but since we got switched to Comcast.net it won't open the email. It wasn't a problem until Comcast switched its email over to the "SmartZone" format. Now it goes from the sing in screen to the SmartZone screen and just stays there. It says it's loading but after four hours one day it still wasn't open.

I also have a little Acer Aspire One. That opens the email no problem, so I'm not desperate anymore.

Any suggestion on how to configure my settings to allow Comcast "SmartZone" to open???

Thanks very much for any help you can offer,
    Fred

I know this isn't much of an answer but I would start with calling Comcast tech support even though it's a painful process they probably have answers for you.

I'm not familiar with Comcast Smart Zone so I can assume it is an web based email program.
Have you tried different browsers on that computer to see if you have the same problem.
Have you adjusted your firewall settings to make sure it's not blocking the site.
Can you check your privacy settings and make sure it's set to a level that will allow content to come through.
Are all of your XP updates installed

Sorry I haven't given you an answer, I just needed you to check these few things so the problem can be narrowed down.
