cant get past windows xp splash screen after trying to disable

was playing around with computer and trying to resolve some issues someone had caused for us. We have A Sony with windows XP. got everything running great. decided to do some teaks. One of which was elimnate windows splash screen or to try to at least. I thouh I entered the command correctly and set it for restart. Now All I get is it turning on and the windows splash screen and it starts over and over. I can't seem to get it out of that mode. If I can get it to another screen I'm sure I can un do what I did. Was hoping someone was up and could help me, It was the disable XP screen with edit booot.ini "/noguiboot "that I tired. Im on our ol lab top and this is driving me nuts! Any help appreciated.
