Can't get rid of infected cookies

I just got my computer back from the repair shop (reinstalled everything for me). First thing I did was download Bitdefender Antivirus. I would scan each day and it didn't find anything. Then my computer started getting so slow! The Bitdefender was picking up over 200 cookies per day and shows about 10% of those as infected cookies such as:

    cookie. fast click
    cookie. rub
    cookie. doubleclick
    " . advertising
    " .Question/Market
    " . Rub
    " .Ru4
    . Mediaplex
    . Gator
    . Zedo
    . Casalemedia

I download Ad-aware (not the pro) and it wouldn't detect anything at all. My Bitdefender says it deleted them but everyday I rescan and either the same ones or more are there. I thought Ad-Aware was a good program for spyware (and I'm assuming that's my problem). Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Cookies are not problems. Are you having any other actual malware problems?

What does it mean by "infected" cookies?

My computer is so slow, takes forever to download a page, and I can only work on one window at a time. Sometimes it freezes.

    Thanks

Something like CCleaner will be good for cookie clearing. :)

Thanks, I've been trying to download this and all your links take me to a download page for ASC4 Cleaner....so I figured maybe that's the same thing (as CCleaner) and started downloading that and I get a tutorial that says I have to pay for it. I thought there was a free CCleaner?

I don't know what you mean. CCleaner IS free. :) I have it on my own computers. You obviously downloaded the wrong thing, somehow (I don't know how) You need to grab it from one of the two Download@MajorGeeks links under the image I have attached in this post.
