Cant get this thing to interact with my router

Ok I have a old computer here not realy sure on brand belive it was a compaq orginaly. It runs a Pentium 2 with a bios extension with a full overclock. It runs faster than the new computer I just bought my fiance. But anyways. Im running XP on it and everything works great just have no graphics accelerator installed. But to install one I need to get the thing online. I use DSL and a westell 6100 series router. Problem is I dont have a ethernet connection on the computer but I ran run DSL via the USB. I hook it all up run the install disc. It does a requirments check and it passes with flying colors goes to reboot when prompted starts up and says all is good then says could not install drivers as they were not found.

USB port is working and is picked up in bios and shows enabled. I cant figure it out. Without being able to get a graphic accelerator im never going to be able to play any kind of game anytime soon.

Its running a old intel 440xl chipset. If anyone knows of a accelerator with a downloadable standalone install i can use that would be wonderful so I can get it on without internet but in the end would still love to play online. Right now i have this computer that flys with speed but cant do jack. :cry:cry:cry
