Can't get to some web sites?

Running XP, and I ran anti-virus program that removed a lot of virus.
Every thing looks like it's running good BUT... I ran Hijackthis and tryed to goto
http://hijackthis.de/ in which case IE states that it can not display this page and firefox just show a blank page. It looks like I can get to most sites.

Any ideas?

Also tried to boot up in safe mode with networking but it jest reboots into normal mode.

Got the fix from anther forum.

FIX:
Open your hosts (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\) and make sure it's empty
other than localhost 127.0.0.1
