I have Windows Updates set to automatic for my Vista Home Premium. No problem with installing "Critical Updates" but it fails when trying to install "Important Updates." I get a Code 646 error message. That link says that most likely the problem is firewall interference. But I have disabled both Windows Firewall and Comodo Firewall and still no luck. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Try this :
To Register te Wups service :
cmd : net stop wuaserv : enter

    To Register WUPS,dll file
    cmd : regsvr32 %windir%\system32\wups2.dll : enter
    Click OK on each varifiction

    Start The Automatic Updates Services
cmd : net start wuaserv : enter

This may help the automatic updates to restart !
