Can't install Realtek AC97 package

I downloaded the AC97 package ver 3.79 and put it in a folder, then executed the .exe file. The installation begins, then stops with a message, "SETUP NEEDS THE NEXT DISK - Please insert Disk 1 with the file layout bin" - What the heck is THAT? I've tried several versions of the package, same results. What am I doing wrong? Thanks -

 

No, it's a Realtek AC97, built-on my motherboard - I have the old drivers loaded, but my sound's messed up, so I thought I'd install the current drivers and see if that fixed it, but they just won't install - any ideas?

 

Oh, forgot... I'm running XP Home/SP2

 

Just found the mb book - it's an ECS 848P-A - don't know what version, but I just bought it about three months ago -
