cant install windows live anymore

I uninstalled windows live messanger, i have tried to install the latest version but nothing will install, i keep getting a error message saying there is another programm running to prevent install, i still have windows live essentials, which i cannot remove, thought this may be causing it,so i still have windows gallery, mail etc, but no messanger, my operating system is vista home basic.

 

try a freeware registry fix program. i use argente. then use your windows disc cleaner to eliminate old unused files. then use the windows defragmenter to re align the data paths of your hard drive. ive had trouble reinstalling things before and ive fixed the problem by cleaning and repairing the registry, then cleaning the discs C. and D. followed by defragmenting. if that doesnt help you then see about updating your p.c. with the updater. it mite also be a problem with the windows installer. possibly there may not be enough room in drive C. to take on the windows live program. delete files you dont use in the uninstall programs area. a bad internet connection might be to blame as well. check any error codes online using your p.c.'s help and troubleshooting.
