can't log in to windows

    Let me start off by expressing my love for this site thanks to everyone!!


    the problem is i can log in to windows, if i type every letter of the password correct, but the problem is when you are at the windows login screen, if you type something wrong you cant backspace (literally). you press backspace and nothing happens. any ideas? do you think is malwa, spywa, or a virus?

    The first thing I'd try is a new keyboard. Power down the PC and hook up a different keyboard, then power up again....

    (PS2 keyboards -the ones with the round connectors- will not register if unplugged/re-plugged with the PC turned on, and USB keyboards may not register at the log in screen)
