I recently bought a SATA drive, and connected it but I am not able to use it. It is listed in the device manager, and the status is "working properly" but it is not listed in the my computer folder and I have no way of accessing it.

My primary hard drive is also a SATA drive 250 Gigs WD the new one is the same brand and size . My Mboard is a Abit, dont remember the model. Could there be a limit on the amount of SATA HD space allowed?

    Thanks,

In device manager right click on the drive & format it.

WD also has free utilities for diagnostic's and even drive setup

go to windows my computer, right click for properties.
then choose the hardware tab and click on device manager
now click 'enable' to enable ur drive. windows will automaticallly update and or enable ur new hdd.
