Can't open Firefox with new firewall

I have tried installing both Sygate and Zonealarm. Installation is no problem but with each I cannot open Firefox. The firewalls will not allow me online. ???

There is no need to have two software firewalls on your computer!

 

I should have been more clear. I installed one, uninstalled it and then installed the other. My windows firewall was disabled during these installations as well. In either case, I had only one firewall running but could not access the internet unless I returned to using the windows firewall. But it is leaking and I don't want it. Any ideas?

 

First off use CCleaner to remove all the residual Registry items left behind by the firewalls, then install the one of your choice, both have a learning curve, as once installed there will be prompts ever time you engage a new program. You have to "Teach" the better Firewalls what you the user will allow.
