can't open IE, Control Panel, other windows, etc.

    I ran spybot and cleaned out Win2k system. Also updated NAV, and ran NAV in safe mode. When i reboot, system "resets" when i click on IE, control panel, or to run a program. Anyone know what this might be? There are some garbage values in the registry, too. Didnt write down what it was.

    when i try to open IE, control panel, or another window in W2K, system "resets" and displays desktop and Windows Start Button. i updated NAV and ran Norton's in Safe Mode. No virus detected. Also ran Spybot and got rid of some spyware. When i rebooted, system wouldnt let me do anything. Can someone help?

    yeah, and i run spybot in safemode, and detects other spyware .. i think its incredimail, cuz i see other posts that refer to incredimail. im still reading up on different posts. thanks alanc
