Can't open json file

Before i did a re-format last week i backed up all my bookmarks using FF but now i can not open the JSON file containing them.

I don't know how to actually open it, In Firefox I goto Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Restore > From File

What I do, is use Mozbackup, it does your bookmarks, extensions, themes, passwords, etc. You can even password protect the file so no one can restore it except you.

*One note with Mozbackup, when first restoring a profile you must run firefox once so it can first make a "default profile' before you can restore a profile.*
