Can't open PPS file with Win 98 computer

Good Morning All,
We've received this as an Attachment from a friend and, it's a PPS file.When we try to open it we get the following Window:
Went there,but not sure what to do here! Need precise details on ,how to do this? Can anyone help? Thanks.

Do you have PowerPoint software installed on your computer?

You need a PowerPoint viewer, which is free from MS:
PowerPoint Viewer 2003

Novice Thanks,
I don't know wether I have Power Point installed or not?If I do,I did'nt install it myself! Where do I check on the computer for this?

Check either the Start > All Programs menu for Powerpoint or Microsoft Office folder and Powerpoint will be located their.

Also you can click Start > Run and type POWERPNT > hit enter if Powerpoint opens you have it installed if it doesnt well you dont and will need to use the Viewer file linked above, but you can only View, Save and Print using the Viewer, you cannot edit the file.
