When I click on the windows firewall icon, I get a message that states: "Due to an unidentified error windows cannot display firewall settings." I can't open it in safe mode either. Any ideas or suggestions? I have Nortons with the internet security suite. This firewall is turned off. I also have Spy Sweeper. I can't find any virus etc. Thanks for any help.

    HI!
You should stick with using the firewall in Norton or uninstall Norton, get a good AV and then turn on Windows firewall....BUT...Windows firewall is minimal protection so why not just stick with what you have in Norton?
Having Nortons with firewall installed is one reason why you are having problems opening Windows Firewall..Norton is interfering.
