Cant play DVD/Sqeek

I recently got my Audigy 2 ZS installed in my computer, and have been having problems ever since. When I go to play a DVD using powerdvd 4, it says that the soundcard is not installed properly, but I did install the card properly. (software and hardware) Because powerdvd was not working, I said, hey why not try windows media player 10. I tried that and when it says opening menu, nothing happens. I know FOR A FACT that DVDs used to work on my computer with both windows media player and powerdvd. Does anyone know how the soundcard could have effected my DVD playing capabilities, and how to fix it?
Here is another problem is prolly linked with the DVD thing. Every few hours, when I am playing music, the music will just turn off and create a really loud high pitch squeek that lasts for about 5 seconds. After that the computer will just freeze. (cannot move the cursor or type anything)Before I put my Audigy 2 ZS in my computer I never had this problem. I know that the computer totaly freezes because I notice when it freezes, the clock on taskbar does not change.
Does anybody have a clue what could be going on? Maybe the card is not compatible with my mobo and it trying to reject it? I dunno..?!?!?!?
