Hi all, I cannot play dvd's (have PowerDVD and WinDVD) with windows Me on a PIII.

I get "error code 8090004 ASPI for windows not available!"

"Only 32-bit CD-ROM driver supported. Please make sure 32-bit CD-ROM driver installed."

I googled the error # then downloaded the Windows ASPI pack from adaptec.com. Installed it, rebooted and I still get the same error. Untechie here, is it not properly installed or am I way off base? Any help will be much appreciated.

I need my monthly dose of THE BIG LEBOWSKI! :D

    Thanks!

Oh there is plenty of JOY here! :D FORCEaspi worked like a charm. Why is it that it's always the little guy putting out something that works?

Thanks a bunch for the reco Kuku. Now off to watch The Dude's shennanigans for the 20th (ish) time.

    Ciao
