Hi: My son has a Madcatz multi-headphone thingy he uses to listen and talk online while playing Halo, Unreal Tournament, etc. Recently I unplugged the damn thing while I was watching a Windows Media video. Now the !@#$ computer will not play music at all. I had my son unplug and reinstall the speakers, unplug and reinstall the madcat thingy, and we can only hear through the madcat. Any ideas would be gratefully accepted!
    Thanks,
    Metalhed

you maybe should check "sound and audio devices" in control panel and see that maybe the volume has be muted by mistake.

Sorry, should have mentioned I did that. My son thinks there's an issue with the computer still thinking the madcat thing is plugged in--even though it's not.
