Cant print on windows ME

I have a hp psc 1350 all in one printer.When i try to add printer which i did, i right clicked on my printer so i can change the port to usb. there is no usb port listed,just com1,COM3, and Lpt1. I tried all of them and when i try to print it says my printer has timed out.Please help

 

during the installation of the 1350 would have been the time to tell it to use a usb port. hp software generally asks that you install the software first then plug the printer in and turn it on. it detects the printer on usb and installs the printer drivers. you may not have the hp usb drivers installed. especially if you originally did it using a parallel cable instead of a usb.
