cant pull out dvd rom ! . . . .

OK my DVD rom drive door has been dying on me for a while and finally it now wont open, although i know it is working apart from the door. I tryied to remove it from my pc for repair and after unscrewing the only screw holding it , I was able to pull it out 40% and it locked and I cant get the dam thing out ! there is no other scews holding it so I have no idea why its not sliding all the way out!

 

if u pulled it 40% out and there is no cd then i think just pitch it. it's odbvously dead

 

thanks for reply , but i am talking about removing the whole DVD rom from my pc not the door !, the whole thing just locks onto the sice brackets or something I think at this point I might force the dam thing out !!

 

are you sure all the screws are out? or maby one was broke and u thought it came off cuz the head came off. or it could be that the bracket it broke. try pushing from the back
