Can't Register BD Free

Hey guys, a friend of mine just replaced his harddrive and install Bitdefender Free as his AV. Everything seems to working smooth except when he tries to register with BD he gets an error message saying that "the connection to the server fail, can not activate product". BD is running and updating but he has 29 days left because he can't register. So I tried to install it on an old xp and I got the same error message. Any ideas what's going on ? I have posted in the BD forum, but that seems hopeless. Thanks.

 

I tried Bitdefender support and tried to set up a chat but it said help was unavailable at that and to send an email, which I did. No response from them yet.

 

Ok, 26 days left and I still get the error message and can't login. But BD is updating and running but I'm also running out of time.
