I'm using Windows 7 and my friend suggested to uninstall and reinstall my video card driver Nvidia GeForce 1650SE nForce 430. But the problem is reinstalling the driver. I have the exact driver software for the driver, but when i go to install it, i get this error. I made sure it was the windows 7 version and i still got that error.

The NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows.

I'm on a Hp Pavilion with all the original parts, I have not switched anything on it. So at the time being the graphics are all bloated and huge, like i'm running safe mode. I did try a windows recovery but it did not do anything. I rammed down f11 when booting and it just booted normally.

Are you sure you are using the correct driver with regards to 32/64 bit version of Windows? You should check again at the nvidia site for the driver, because you clearly have the wrong one.

    Hi,
Download and install but do not run yet......

    http://majorgeeks.com/Driver_Sweeper_d6171.html

Before doing this it is advisable to create a restore point... Start > right click Computer > Properties > System Protection > create.

1.) Uninstall the video card driver in add/remove programs... then re-boot into SafeMode (f8 at load screen).

YOU MUST DO THIS IN SAFEMODE.........

2.) Double click driversweeper and place tick into the relevent Nvidia display box.
    3.) Click "Analyzse".
4.) Click "Clean" run the "Clean" button twice to remove any residual left overs.

Re-boot into normal Windows and click out of any "found new hardware" prompts....

depending on what version of win 7 you are running download and install the driver from here....

    win 7 32 bit...

    win 7 64 bit...

Well that being the case, then possibly the file became corrupted. Try DLing the driver again and see if that fixes the problem.

    Hi

Did you run the info that iain.t posted earlier on removing and re-installing the nvidia driver?

What HP Pavilion model do you have (or service tag code)?

In Device Manager are there any devices with yellow ! marks next to them and if so what? possible is you are missing a chipset driver.
