Can't remove AVG toolbar and oh.. what a mess

I am running Win/7 with I.E. 10. I've been having issues for 2 weeks with I.E. possible corruption, loss of contacts and more. I've done a lot of tweaking but maybe more harm than good. The computer has been real squirrely.

This morning I picked up the Script HelperApi Class along with AVG safeguard toolbar, which is listed in my sys. config. twice. Active X Control!! I can't get rid of it and have tried everything I know. Can you please help me get this out of my machine?

The true novice that I am, have had my main acct. as administrator and found out this is not good. Can I keep the same acct., email addy and username but give the admin. rights to another user? I need to try and keep things as simple as possible. Then today my sweet mother brought me one of her laptops after my back dive off our kitchen counter and wearing a brace but still hard to sit at this desk. I want to hook that up sometime so I can get away from this discomforting desk and chair. But I have no idea what to do to change it all over. What does one do when they no advocate?

Sorry to ramble.., have been housebound too long. Anyway, I have a mess here and none of my friends know computers anymore than I do. I can't stand the stress anymore and just want to lay back and heal. Computers are wonderful but can be a big pain in the butt (and my back:cry). If I can send you a attachment to help you help me, please let me know and how to send it. Sorry..

If someone could help me with at least just one of my issues, I'd be so greatful..

Not sure about the rest but in your situation, I would download and run AdwCleaner here:

It might remove SOME things you like, but you will be much better off. I haven't ever been disappointed by its use on this PC, although it did get rid of one toolbar I like one time. I got over it...

 

Go to tools>add-ons and delete the toolbar.

You could also do a rollback to before your had these problems.
