I can't see audio files on any CD with video extra files.
This is happening on 1 PC with Windows 7 & 3 other PCs with XP.
    All have latest updates.
Last disc I tried I have previously ripped to MP3. Now as I said there are no audio files.
It is obviously something I have installed on my PCs. Tried uninstalling KLite codec pack. No difference.
Have done a Google search with no results.
    Any suggestions appreciated,

Thanks for the reply. IOBit Uninstaller worked fine.
    Still the same problem.
Haven't seen IOBit Uninstaller before. Looks good, but programme will not close.
Have to use Windows Task Manager to end programme.
Any further suggestions on the audio CD problem would be appreciated,
    Lance

    Thanks.
I have spent over 20 years as (in American terms) a Radio & TV Engineer.
That is a very good article.
The problem is still I can't play these CDs in my computers

Thanks for the suggestion. I use VLC on all my Windows computers.
First used the programme on my Linux (Ubuntu) laptop.
The problem is NOT the programme to play or rip the audio CD.
It is the PCs don't recognize the disc as an audio disc.
But I haven't tried playing it on my Linux PC.
    Will check that.
    Thanks.

Just tried enhanced CD in my IBM Linux laptop.
It plays using the default Linux player.
Linux sees the tracks as WAV files.
As I said in my original post, I have ripped 2 of the CDs that Windows can't see as an audio disc using Windows Media Player to MP3 format.
I don't need to rip them again.
I just wanted to play the disc in my Toshiba WinXP laptop.
It HAS to be something I have downloaded & installed that is causing the problem.
And I don't feel like doing Windows reinstalls to try & fix it. Apart from which, I DON'T know what software is causing the problem,
    Lance
